OBJECTIVES AND IMPORTANCE OF STUDYING PEDAGOGY OR TEACHING OF COMMERCE:
After completion of the course, the student
teachers will be able to:
1.
gain insight
on the meaning and nature of
Commerce for determining
aims, and strategies of teaching-learning
2.
identify and
relate everyday experiences with learning commerce
3.
understand
lesson planning and evaluation aspects in teaching Commerce
4.
apply the knowledge in analyzing
higher secondary Commerce contents in terms of the techniques and aids for the
purpose of teaching Commerce
5.
understand
the different types of curriculum, classroom management techniques and
technology in and of education to teach Commerce
6.
develop
interests in knowing the recent development in teaching methodology, and
technological developments in Commerce
7.
be
professionally competent to design pedagogical content knowledge to be imparted
in actual teaching-learning systems
8.
develop
critical attitude to different types of learning resources and to use them for
becoming an informed and effective teacher
9.
understand
various tools and techniques of assessment of pupil’s scholastic and
nonscholastic performance
10.
become a
self- critical teacher of commerce in modern
